Membership Clerk - Cedartown/Polk County Club
The Cedartown Boys & Girls Club is currently seeking a membership clerk. This is a permanent, part-time position to help serve our youth, parents, volunteers and staff. Applicant responsibilities will include greeting visitors, signing youth in and out of the program, answering phones, maintaining accurate membership files and payment data, and other club duties as deemed necessary to assist the Club Director. Candidate must be comfortable working on a computer and have the necessary skills to learn how to manage our membership tracking system.
Applicants must enjoy working with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds, be attentive to detail, use sound judgment, and possess a clean criminal background and drug screen. This is a 20-25 hours per week position during the school year, approximately 2:30pm-6:30pm. The position may increase to 40 hours per week during school breaks and the summer months of June and July. Compensation is based on qualifications but usually ranges from $10.00 - $11.00 per hour.
Applicants should have excellent verbal communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal skills; have the ability to work as part of a team and on an individual basis; have demonstrated leadership skills; and have high standards of ethics and integrity. Prior experience working with youth of different ages is not required, but is highly preferred.
