• Emotional Wellness Director

    The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Georgia is seeking an Emotional Wellness Director with proven, successful experience in managing, designing, and implementing policies and procedures related to youth and/or employee emotional and mental health wellbeing programs. This individual will report directly to the CEO and be a key driver and resource for all emotional health programs, education, and activities at the organization. The candidate should have command of the biopsychosocial model, have proficiency in the use of evidence-based behavioral health interventions, and be able to build trust quickly and consult effectively. Further, the ideal candidate should possess strong crisis management skills and the ability to help youth and employees navigate difficult situations, including motivational interviewing, relaxation and mindfulness techniques, cognitive-behavioral methods, etc.
     
    Applicants must have a four-year degree from an accredited college or university in Health Promotion, Public Health, Psychology, Counseling or Mental Health, at least three years of relevant required experience, and high standards of ethics and integrity. Applicants should also have intermediate Microsoft Office, research, and spreadsheet skills, and possess flexibility and high emotional intelligence. Applicants must be highly organized and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
     
    Key Roles include working with the management team to create and conduct workshops for our youth and employees on how to cope with stress and grow emotionally and socially, with the goal of feeling a sense of support, value and belonging; referring youth and employees to support services that may enhance well-being; and making recommendations for program changes and initiatives that would enhance youth and employee well-being.
     
    The position is 40 hours per week, 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday, with occasional meetings and events during non-business hours and weekends. Weekly travel between the various Boys & Girls Clubs in Floyd and Polk Counties is required, and compensation is based on qualifications, but will generally range from $21.64 - $26.44 per hour, plus benefits.
