    Job Description
    The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Georgia is seeking a Development Director with proven, successful experience in development or marketing including strategy, planning, and donor stewardship. Must be highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication and marketing skills. The Development Director has the responsibility of leading the successful achievement of specific fundraising goals including the annual fund, transformational gift campaign, and special events. The position is 40 hours per week, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday, with occasional meetings and events during non-business hours and weekends. Compensation is based on qualifications but usually ranges from $19.24 - $24.04 per hour plus benefits.

    Key Roles include working with the Executive Director to plan and execute resource development strategies and monitor progress against goals; planning and directing the Annual and Transformational Gift Campaigns with the assistance of the Executive Director and Board of Directors; assisting with the successful execution of special event logistics; and fulfilling any additional duties as required by the Executive Director and Board of Directors.

    Applicants must have a four-year degree from an accredited college or university; a minimum of five years of experience in development or marketing; excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal skills; excellent organizational skills; demonstrated ability to accomplish multiple tasks under strict deadlines; demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and on an individual basis; demonstrated leadership and project management skills; and high standards of ethics and integrity. Candidates should also be able to utilize various fundraising techniques to identify, solicit and steward gifts from various donor sources; have intermediate Microsoft Office, research and spreadsheet skills; and have some experience in customer service and event planning. Experience with the Donor Perfect donor tracking system is highly preferred.
