    Job Summary

    This position is responsible for leading and directing the Office of Human Resources for Georgia Highlands College. Reporting to the President of Georgia Highlands, the incumbent is a Cabinet member and Executive Leadership Team member.               

    Responsibilities

    • Provide consultation to the President and executive leadership team on topics related to the institution’s human capital

    • Participate in leadership decisions on matters related to institutional strategic planning, policy development/implementation and budget allocation

    • Direct the talent acquisition and professional development functions of the organization with the aim to create a diverse, inclusive and highly skilled workforce; components of this function include selection and workforce planning, professional and leadership development, succession planning and performance management

    • Champion the concept development and implementation of systems to streamline and automate Human Resource functions and alleviate manual process requirements of managers (OneUSG Connect, Payfactors, Skill Survey etc.)

    • Create Human Resource budgets that support the strategic direction of the institution; directs the budget maintenance, adjustments and re-forecasting

    • Develop the Office of Human Resources' structure and role design; supervise, direct and provide for the development of HR staff

    • Oversee the compensation and benefit functions including the development of short and long term plans for these functions

    • Function as the Title IX Coordinator and Privacy Officer for the institution

    • Designated as a Position of Trust

    • Perform related duties

    Required Qualifications

    • Baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field with 8-10 years of relative experience
    • Equivalent combination of experience and education is acceptable

     

    Proposed Salary

    Commensurate with relative experience and education.
