    Job Description
    Position Summary:  Georgia Northwestern Technical College is seeking a full-time maintenance position for the Floyd County campus located in Rome, Georgia.  This position is responsible for performing skilled work associated with the maintenance and repair of the facilities mechanical equipment systems; relocates fixtures, furniture, and equipment and bulk items, and other duties as assigned. The successful candidate must be capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling 50 lbs minimum and in an emergency work evenings or weekends.
     
    Minimum qualifications:
    High School diploma or GED. Knowledge of maintenance and repair. Five (5) years of experience in HVAC with license and certification. Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems including water source heat pumps, boilers and chiller operations. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.  Ability to lift, push, and carry heavy items (50 lbs. min.). Must have a valid driver’s license.
     
    Preferred qualifications:
    Extensive knowledge of welding, carpentry, electricity, plumbing, etc.; knowledge of garden tools and maintenance equipment, etc. 
     
    Salary:
    Salary commensurate with education and work experience.
