    Georgia Northwestern Technical College is seeking an enthusiastic person to fill the position of full time Student Life Assistant on the Floyd County Campus located in Rome, GA to serve all six campuses across Northwest Georgia. This person will assist the Coordinator of Student Life in
    planning and coordinating student events and working in the Student Life Office. This includes
    monthly events on each campus, Campus Involvement Fairs at the beginning of each semester,
    Intramurals, and assisting with large campus events each semester (Fall Fest, Spring Fling, and
    Finals events). In addition this staff member will develop, coordinate, and promote a student
    focused newsletter & other publications and will assist with developing and producing
    marketing plans and materials for all events. This person will oversee all student organizations
    and advise the Student Government Association. Occasional evening and weekend hours and
    travel to other campuses are required.
    Required Qualifications: High School Diploma. The ideal candidate will possess excellent
    written and verbal communication skills and customer service oriented attitude, be proficient
    in the use of technology in an office environment, be highly organized, and enthusiastic about
    student support and development. Desire to learn and develop new ideas. Flexibility in
    uncertain situations.
    Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s Degree or higher. Demonstrate experience administering
    student-centered college-wide campus events with experience in the creation and
    implementation of a marketing plan for college-wide campus events. One year or more
    experience working in a college or university environment. Experience working within a multi-campus
    operation.
