Professor of Criminal Justice
Position: Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Criminal Justice

The Department of Social Sciences in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Shorter University invites applications for a full-time (i.e., 10-month, tenure-track) criminal justice position. The successful candidate must work collegially with other faculty and embrace the mission, values, and vision of the university.
Required qualifications include an earned Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in criminal justice or criminology preferred (closely related field will be considered) with experience in law enforcement or corrections. The ideal candidate will be able to teach both introductory and upper-level courses in these fields. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience at the college/university level.
Responsibilities include teaching both lower- and upper-division criminal justice courses, advising students, assessment, engaging in scholarly research/professional development, participating in university and community service, and other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the department chair.
Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
