• Assistant Director of Financial Aid

    Georgia Northwestern Technical College is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Assistant Director of Financial Aid at the Floyd County campus. In conjunction with the financial aid director, this position is responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating the college’s student financial aid functions. This position will assist in the coordination of financial programs available to enrolled students, including scholarships, grants, the work-study program, and student loans. Occasional travel to other GNTC campuses as well as travel for training or conferences is required.
    Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college in business or a related field and a minimum of three years’ work-related experience at a postsecondary institution; or an Associate’s degree in a course of study related to the occupational field and 10 or more years of professionally related experience.
    The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and a customer service oriented attitude, be proficient in the use of technology in an office environment, and possess the ability to multi-task and work as a team member in a fast paced environment.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college in business or a related field. A minimum of three years of work experience in financial aid or a similar program at a postsecondary institution. Previous supervisory experience.
