Patient Care Assistant
Walker Orthotics and Prosthetics is growing and needs a front line administrative individual with energy and a desire to help people. We promote a positive work environment where teamwork is the norm in our locally owned business. The Patient Care Assistant is responsible for greeting patients when they arrive, obtain appropriate documentation, contacting insurance carriers to verify benefits, answer the phone, schedule patients, and other duties as needed. A professional and pleasant demeanor, excellent communication skills, positive attitude, and attention to detail are skills needed to be successful. Computer literacy is necessary. A two year degree or technical school education along with a medical office background is preferred. Eight annual paid holidays, vacation time, 401(k), and ongoing training allowance are all available.
