• Executive Administrator Montessori School of Rome

    This position involves handling daily responsibilities of a school office, and also some recruiting, communication with parents, and social media management. Applicants should have a college degree and be proficient in keyboarding, Excel, Access, and Publisher. Technology proficiency is a must. The ideal applicant enjoys marketing through social media applications such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. 

    There is daily interaction with children aged 18 months through 9th grade. A criminal background check is a requirement.

    The job opening is for the 2021-2022 school year with training this summer, beginning in late July or August.. Hours are somewhat flexible, and will range from 9:30 to 5:30, with a possibility of 8 to 4. 

    Administrative Assistant responsibilities
     
    Communication:
    Monthly Newsletter
    Immunization letters to parents
    Answer phone, take messages
     
    Emergency and Medical
    Maintain first aid equipment 
    Keep immunization and EED forms up-to-date     
    Provide immunization records as requested by state audits.
     
    Supplies:
    Facilitate ordering supplies for teachers and maintain inventory of supplies.  
    Order books and workbooks each year for each program. 

    Office Duties:
    Copy items as needed
    Keep Sign In and Sign Out Sheets on clipboard each day.
    Record Transfers to and from school 

    Computer:
    Update database as needed with new admissions or transfers
    Streamline Office Docs
     
    Social Media:
    Facebook posts each day from different programs.
    Instagram
    Twitter

    Website:
    Post newsletters, special events, and weekly notes on website. 
     
    Special Presentations:
    Prepare programs, organize events, attend events such as Science Fair, Historical Timeline, School Picnics, and  School Fundraisers

    Attendance
    Staff and Student

    Payroll:
    Maintain payroll records for each staff member and submit to accountant monthly. 
     
    Staff:
    Maintain BFTS/CPR/First Aid records and remind staff as hours are needed
    Make sure all new staff members who work with students ages 18 months to 6 years have: required documentation and training 

    Update staff directory and birthday list. 
     
    Classroom Help:
    Step into classrooms as needed
     
    Student Records:
    Make sure all student records are up to date and complete with emergency contact, allergy information, and contact information. 
     
    Prepare Enrollment and Tour Packets
     
    Host Open House and Parent Education events. 

    This position is best for an applicant who desires to make a long term commitment to our school.
