The SBAC Tentative Calendar is designed to give an overview of the small business and entrepreneurship programming offered by the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce through monthly SBAC meetings, seminars, and workshop series. This schedule is tentative and subject to change. Always check the Chamber Calendar for the latest schedule information.

SBAC Meetings: Monthly SBAC meetings are usually held the second Tuesday of the month 8:30am – 9:30am in the Chamber boardroom. These meetings offer the latest information that affects small businesses and entrepreneurs. Guest speakers generally give a short 20 – 30 minute presentation on relevant topics at SBAC meetings. The SBAC Tentative Calendar offers a tentative outline of agenda items and guest speaker topics for monthly SBAC meetings.
Seminars: The Council also sponsors frequent seminars on relevant and timely small business and entrepreneurship topics. These seminars are usually offered as a free membership benefit. Seminars are scheduled based on the interests, needs, and at the discretion of the Small Business Action Council. Seminars are generally offered as a lunchtime “Lunch-and-Learn” or afternoon format, usually 2 or 3 hours in length and located in the Chamber boardroom. The SBAC Tentative Calendar offers a very tentative schedule of upcoming seminars. Always check the Chamber Calendar on the homepage for the latest information on seminar topics and schedules.
Workshop Series: SBAC frequently sponsors workshop series that focus on providing small business owners and entrepreneurs with practical tools for small business development. These series help business owners and entrepreneurs escape working in their businesses and start working on their businesses. These series typically include multiple sessions facilitated by an experienced, professional instructor. The SBAC Tentative Calendar provides a very tentative schedule of upcoming workshop series. Chamber Calendar: Always check the Chamber Calendar located on the homepage at www.romega.com. The Chamber Calendar provides event descriptions and registration information for all upcoming Chamber events, including small business and entrepreneurship programming.
Friday Facts: If you are a Chamber member, be sure to check your weekly “Friday Facts” email newsletter which contains event information. All Chamber member business owners and employees can receive “Friday Facts.” If you do not currently receive “Friday Facts,” simply contact the Chamber at 706-291-7663 to request to receive these emails.
SBAC Email List: If you would like to receive regular email updates regarding SBAC meetings and events, simply contact the Chamber at 706-291-7663 to be added to this list. All Chamber members and employees of Chamber members may participate in Chamber committees such as SBAC. On the SBAC email list, you will receive monthly meeting announcements and regular updates pertaining to issues that affect small businesses and entrepreneurs in our community. If you are unable to attend monthly meeting but are simply interested in being “in the know” regarding small business and entrepreneurship topics, this email list is an excellent option as well.

Chamber Connect: A new social media website just for Chamber members, “Chamber Connect,” www.romechamberconnect.com, enables you to create a profile and connect with other Chamber members as the face of your business. On Chamber Connect, you can make friends with other Chamber members, post updates about your business, and receive timely information.
Chamber Connect Blogs: The Chamber staff regularly post blogs on various business related topics. Be sure the check out the blog of Lowell Pratt, Small Business Development Coordinator, for timely and relevant blogs related to small business and entrepreneurship. Event announcements and highlights are posted as blogs as well.
Pinnacle Newsletter: Each Chamber member receives a monthly Pinnacle newsletter. Be sure to read your Pinnacle, which contains: highlights from recent events, new members and renewals, a “What’s That Project?” feature, and a “Small Business Spotlight,” recent ribbon cuttings, and upcoming events.
