“Neaton’s success is Georgia’s success, and 50 more Georgians will now have a good job to provide for themselves and their families,” said Gov. Nathan Deal. “Georgia has become the No. 1 state in the nation in which to do business because our pro-jobs policies allow companies such as Neaton to thrive. I congratulate Neaton, the city of Rome and Floyd County on this success and celebrate this expansion.”
“I am always excited to see existing manufacturers investing in Rome and Floyd County,” said Rome Mayor Jamie Doss.
“Neaton’s reinvestment continues to show the importance of our existing industry,” said Floyd County Commission Chairman Irwin Bagwell. “This announcement of adding jobs in our community is always welcomed and I am glad that Neaton has found Rome and Floyd County a great place to continue to do business.”
“Existing industry is the foundation upon which our community grows and prospers. Without the support of companies like Neaton we could not obtain the level of economic success that we currently enjoy,” said Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce Chairman Anne Kaiser.
Neaton Rome is an OEM automotive supplier for airbags, steering wheels, interior and exterior plastic trim. A valuable corporate citizen to our community, Neaton has been successful in employing technically skilled workers to accommodate their continual growth. As a result of this newest expansion, Neaton will seek to employ more of these positions. Positions will be posted on the jobs page at www.romega.com.
Special thank you to Governor Nathan Deal and team, the Georgia Department of Economic Development, the Department of Community Affairs, Georgia Power Company, Floyd County, the City of Rome, the Rome-Floyd County Development Authority, the Development Authority of Floyd County, Berry College, the Technical College System of Georgia and the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce for their support.
