Small Business Action Council Committee

Mission:  To showcase all of Rome and Floyd County for retail, healthcare, recreation and cultural opportunities.

Monthly Meetings:  The Small Business Action Council Committee meets the second Tuesday of the month at 8:30 a.m.  Contact the Chamber for meeting location.

Business Expo:  An annual 2-day event held the first weekend in November at The Forum to showcase local retail and service members of the Chamber.  Project is self-funding with surplus generated benefiting the Shop Rome effort the following year.

Shop Rome Campaign:  This is a continuous year-round effort to market Rome’s businesses to local citizens and outlying communities through various media such as radio, television, billboards, direct mailings and the use of productive jingles with the media.

Small Business of the Year Award:  (Presented in January at Annual Meeting) An annual award given to the small business that is nominated and best meets the requirements/criteria established by the committee.
