Small Business Action Council
Works to promote all of Rome and Floyd County as the Capitol of Northwest Georgia for retail and trade. Supports small business through education and communication and is responsible for the Shop Rome campaign, Business Expo, and Small Business of the Year award.
GREIA - Greater Rome Existing Industries Association (Manufacturers only)
Fosters growth, excellence, and expansion by addressing topics specifically related to the priorities of manufacturers.
Economic Development Committee
Recruits new business to Floyd County, markets Rome and Floyd County through an extensive advertising campaign, and sponsors events for local and statewide developers.
Governmental Affairs
Studies and makes recommendations on local and state small business and manufacturing issues and holds forums with city, county, state, and federal officials to discuss issues and opportunities for continued growth and prosperity of the Rome and Floyd County areas. Responsible for Day at the Capitol and the annual Washington, D.C. Trip.
Transportation Committee
Serves as an advocate for quality transportation system development and monitors government transportation planning projects.
Education Workforce Committee
Works to enhance the educational opportunities in Rome and Floyd County for all ages - elementary schools through high school, secondary education, and occupational or work force training and re-training. Also examines and makes recommendations regarding community education issues such as the education SPLOST.
Young
Professionals of Rome (YPRome)
A program focused on young professionals in
their 20s and 30s, aimed at helping retain and
recruit up-and-coming professionals in Rome and
Floyd County. YPRome hosts several networking
and professional development events throughout the
year.
Information Technology Roundtable
Provides a forum for providers and consumers to share experiences and identify opportunities to advance the use of information technology in our community.
Ambassadors Club
Members are selected by Chairperson and act as a communications liaison to new and existing members.
