    POSITION TITLE: Shipping Clerk DIVISION: FLC
    SUPERVISOR: Shipping Supervisor SHIFTS: 1st
     
    POSTION SUMMARY
     
    VT Industries of Georgia manufactures wood products including fine laminate countertops.  VT uses highly automated processes for building kitchen and bath countertop.  It is a job requirement to be able to do the following:
     
    • Available for work 8 hours a day; 5 days per week with occasional mandatory overtime
    • Compare customer shipping schedule to published load schedule
    • Generates final load schedule for distribution within the department
    • Create accessory work sheet for box count totals
    • Maintain load schedule
    • Generate Proof of Delivery tickets when orders are complete in the system
    • Coordinate load changes with appropriate personnel and maintain load schedule in drop order
    • Plan LTL shipments through carrier and communicate to the shipping team
    • Generate monthly LTL spreadsheet for costing
    • Responsible for relaying quotes to internal and external customers for LTL shipments
    • Assist in weighting boxes for UPS shipments
    • Prepare documentation for UPS shipments
    • Assist with UPS resets
    • Print daily UPS report
    • Communicate with corporate regarding COD amounts for customer pickups
    • Assist customers with POD’s and amount due
    • Maintain daily footage for the end of week footage report
    • Key in backorders from laminate area
    • Participate in daily production meeting
    • Keep work area clean and organized
    • Use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), ALL EMPLOYEES: Safety glasses, ear plugs  POSITION SPECIFIC: Safety glasses, ear plugs, and gloves
    • Observe all safety policies and procedures at all times
    • Work individually or with team members as assigned
    • Maintain a positive work environment
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
