    POSTION SUMMARY

     
    VT Industries of Georgia manufactures wood products including fine laminate countertops.  VT uses highly automated processes for building kitchen and bath countertop.  It is a job requirement to be able to do the following:
     
    • Available for work 10 hours per day, Monday - Thursday with occasional mandatory overtime
    • Role model all standards/processes and on-the-job behavior to create a positive and inclusive work environment
    • Responsible for supporting production leadership to provide management and oversight of hourly production employees
    • Provide coverage for production shift supervisor during vacations and other absences
    • Ensure the safe and efficient execution of work by production employees
    • Role model safe work practices
    • Actively involved in assigning work and evaluation job performance
    • Support, coach and provide timely feedback to production employees
    • Understand the process flow and provide solutions for issues
    • Participate/contribute to other facility functions, such as safety, environmental and LEAN initiatives
    • Participate in daily production meeting
    • Keep work area clean and organized
    • Use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), ALL EMPLOYEES: Safety glasses, ear plugs  POSITION SPECIFIC: Safety glasses, ear plugs, and gloves
    • Observe all safety policies and procedures at all times
    • Work individually or with team members as assigned
    • Maintain a positive work environment
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

    PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
    • Strong abilities in routine manufacturing concepts such as safety, 5s, production and labor efficiency
    • Experience in laminate countertop manufacturing
    • Experience with LEAN process
