The Department of Social Sciences in the College of Arts & Sciences at Shorter University invites applications for a 10-month, tenure-track psychology position. The successful candidate must work collegially with other faculty, and embrace the mission and vision of the department, college, and university.
Required qualifications include an earned doctorate (Ph.D. preferred) in psychology with a specialization in personality, social, and/or developmental psychology. The ideal candidate will have had graduate training in statistics and personality theory. Preference will be given to the candidate with a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the college/university level and a strong record of teaching excellence.
Responsibilities may include: teaching both lower- and upper-division psychology courses, advising students, engaging in scholarly research/professional development, participating in university and community service, and other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the department chair.
Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
