  • The Floyd health care system is now in its seventh decade of serving the families of Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama.

    Central to this care is the not-for-profit Floyd Medical Center, a 304-bed acute care hospital and regional referral center covering over 40 medical specialties, including three Destination Centers and five Joint Commission-certified disease-specific programs.

    The Floyd family of services also includes Polk Medical Center, Floyd Behavioral Health Center, the Floyd Primary Care Network, Heyman HospiceCare, Floyd Outpatient Surgery Center, Floyd Physical Therapy and Rehab, and the Floyd Family Medicine Residency Program.

    Floyd is the region’s largest employer, with more than 2,500 employees who work alongside a medical staff of over 300 physician specialists and a volunteer force of more than 250.

  • REDMOND REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER

  • Redmond Regional Medical Center has more than 1,200 associates and 245 physicians with 30 specialties ready to provide the highest level of professional, experienced care. Serving the community since 1972, Redmond's 230-bed hospital is a referral center for all of northwest Georgia and parts of Alabama.

    Fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation for Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), Redmond is nationally recognized as a top cardiac-care specialist.  With a complete range of cardiology services, Redmond offers the region’s only interventional cath lab for angioplasty and open heart surgery.   • Founded in 1948, Harbin Clinic presently employs over 130 physicians representing 33 medical specialties offering full lab and radiology services and clinical trials.  Harbin Clinic has a 10 county primary referral base, satellite offices located in 4 surrounding counties, and serves as the largest private independent multi-specialty clinic in Georgia.  "The Clinical Research Department of the Harbin Clinic was established to facilitate Harbin Clinic physicians in their investigation research efforts.  This dedicated research unit continues to produce quality research outcomes for which Harbin Clinic physicians have been known in previous decades.

  • KINDRED HOSPITAL

  • Kindred hospital is a transitional care hospital providing specialized long-term acute care to medically complex patients requiring continued care and extended recovery time. It is located on the campus of Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia. The all private room hospital includes 24 beds with an eight-bed unit for critical care patients staffed with experienced ACLS nurses and respiratory therapists. Services have been designed to care for medically complex patients suffering from multi-system failures, including respiratory failure with ventilator dependence, post surgical complications, and wound management. 

    Since 2000, Kindred Rome has prided itself on excellent outcomes in ventilator weaning, wound healing and patient satisfaction. Their team of experienced professionals includes physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, rehabilitation therapists, pharmacists, case management and other allied health professionals are dedicated to developing and delivering customized care plans focused on healing to return each patient to the optimum level of functioning and recover.
